Question favorite motorcycle from the 1990's?

What was your favorite motorcycle from the 1990's?

That's 1990-1999... What did you have during those years? And which one was your favorite?

1996 CBR600 F3. I liked it so much I bought an old one last year and rebuilt/streetfightered it.

The list is long....mostly Hondas.

I had a 95 F3 that was a fantastic bike that met an untimely demise. Still got one though, in race trim.

Still have a 93 CBR900RR....will post pics when I get home. Unbelievably immaculate.

Had a 94 YZF750. Best handiling bike of it's day. Also had a 1990 ZX-10 that was ridiculously fast.

But my faovrite was my 1990 CBR1000F. Two-tone Silver with white wheels. Beefy motor and a Kerker White tip (reads: darned near open) exhaust. Boy, did that thing kackle. Nice big seat for the wifey to tag along on my misadventures. (I now shudder when I think about what we used to do back in the day).

It was a big ol' sport-tourer with a classy look. My friends nick-named it "The Fatty". She was the one that got away.

Ummm, I'm evidently traveling backwards through time. I have gone from a 2002 HD to a 1991 HD, and went from a 2002 919 to a 2003 CBR954, and then hit a wormhole where I ended up with a 1998 VFR 800.

So my favorite 90's bikes are my 2 current rides, my custom 113" FXR and my 98 VFR.

I skipped the 90's, and the 80's for that matter, have only had 70's era and '00 era bikes.

bought a 1990 Honda CB-1 new in '91. When I saw the 919 in '02, I thought it looked like a CB-1 on steroids...

'99 CBRXX ... obviously. Followed by the Interceptor. Would love to find one in great shape just to have. The RC's were great in the '90's, but way out of my price point in those days.

Now that I am home I took a pic of the RR and dug up an old photo of the Fatty. 90's Honda's ROCK!

Since Mistermike cheated and showed pictures of 70's and 80's bikes he owned in the 90's I'm showing this fun steed currently in my posession.

'Cause even though the 80's had bad hair bad clothes and bad coke, it had really cool bikes.

Plus this bike was kinda the onset of all the big Open Classers that ruled the 90's like the ZX-10/11, GSXR1100, FZR1000. It was big fast and comfy, like all of them, if not a bit more gentlemanly, in hindsight.

Ah, Greg and Mr Mike, those are beautiful bikes. Well since were doing pictures now I dont think I have ever put both mine in a thread together.
The VFR

The FXR

Evidently I also like bikes that have model name ending in "R" with an "F" included in it.

It's just semantics I guess. We need our new admin to step in and settle his first dispute.

I don't really have my panties in a bunch, it's just that 90's bikes is one of my favorite subjects, followed closely by 80's bikes and 70's bikes. This is serious stuff dude!

I'll play, 1990 Honda RC-30. Yep, had one and sold it.

So, today's favorite has to be the 1996 Honda RVF400 sitting in the garage.

Yep. The Hurricane is and always will be my baby. Only comes out on national bugfree days.

The F3 is my backroad stalker. I like to stalk guys on 1000s who think a 600 is a lady's bike.

Was that the last of the big ones or the "new" one? Those older 9R's were beasts. Big, but strong. Quarter mile rippers....with mostly bad graphics!

The newer ones were "light is right" engineering and would have made a bigger splash, if not for the original R1, which was simply ridiculous in its day, and slayed all competition, even expensive Italian stuff.

Ha, Love it! I still take my F3 to track days and can still make her dance. I get great satisfaction outta passing some guy on an 07 GSXR1K on a clapped out rashed up F3 with no packing in the muffler. Pisses some guys off, freaks out others.

Speaking of expensive Italian stuff.......My 93 RR was pretty cool, redefined sportbike as we know it. Then the 98 R1 took that formula and mixed in a lotta technology. And yet, I'll always have a soft spot for this one.....

I never owned one and often laughed at guys who did, because they were so finicky. And yet I gotta nominate it THE Bike of the 90's hands down.

Way ahead of itself, this one.

98 or 99 VFR (Interceptor), 2 years they had fuel injection, but no VTEC.

98-01 actually, mine is a 98. Best years for the VFR, no VTEC, not as fat either!
