Yeah, I got the new edition of Rider magazine yesterday and they love it as well.

I was talking to the local dealership and have a few observations. Price still seems like it will be BMWesque, they have a new VFR on the floor they're clearing out at a couple hundred bucks off list. They don't seem to be worried about the the new bike causing the older versions to devalue. Maybe the price of the old one will drop further if it doesn't move before spring.

It's another bike said to look better in person, and cockpit feel is small, sporty but not cramped and not whale like.

Yeah, totally out of synch with several other reviews I've read. In fact, every other review I've seen was very positive.

Maybe the reviewer had a defective sample - or an agenda - or both.

I can't remember seeing such a scathing type review recently (the few I have read recently). Usually it’s in the reviewers interest to be diplomatical and steer away from the negative aspects or sugar-coat it , if they want to keep receiving test bikes, kept in the loop and keep on receiving other press related perks that come with the territory.

I think it's tits! they hit the design right on IMO. I like the shaft drive on a tourish bike but it pisses me off to no end that they included "electronic softening of bottom end power in lower gears" WTF honda don't you get it, make it some what comphy, make it look decent, and most of all make it HAUL ASS if you build it we will buy...

It may be cultural difference between us and the japanese, we need to send a git-er-done over there to the R and D deptarment and set 'em straight.

pretty bike. unfortunately, it gets porkier with every generation. so much technology stuffed into it. a far cry from the original interceptor. i had an '04 and replaced it with an '05 ZZR600. the ZZR weighed 100 lbs. less. i'm glad i did it. yet, i couldn't say anything bad about the VFR. i just felt it was to porky for it's size.

That review is just plain odd, it's more in sync with the new style snarky tech reviews. Kind of like sitting in the back of the theater when you were 12 and you'd add in your own dialogue.

I'm really happy I've reached a point where I can ride a bike and make up my own mind, I don't need that validation of my choice from a print publication or some online weirdo.
