Finally Back on 2 Wheels!

Took my first ride in 7 weeks this afternoon

Just a short one after the Colts game, my knee finally felt good enough to give it a try. The 9'er and XR had dead batteries, so that left the FJR or one of Gin's bikes. What the heck, might as well test out my still healing knee with the heaviest machine in the garage huh?

Wanted to ride the FJR anyway, had put a new California Scientific windshield on it right after I sprained my knee and haven't been able to try it out. My knee felt pretty stable, still a bit tight and sore with my foot on the peg and shifting is kind of awkward, can't move my foot down quite far enough and had to shift with the side of my boot.

I just blasted up and down the freeway for a few miles out into the country and then back through downtown, new screen worked well and I had a big ol' smile on my face as I cruised along. Felt great getting back out there, got some new all weather gear while I was laid up so I'm hoping to ride into the cooler temps this year, make up for almost two months of missed opportunity!

47' today at home - 2.5 hours N of Indy.

I couldn't tell if the dome was open for game time... ended up with a quick trip to the office and chose NOT to ride the bike. Meow...

Supposed to be sunny and in the 50's today and tomorrow, hopefully after I get caught up at my office I can get back out there and rack up some more miles.

Congrats Scott, I've only been able to ride a couple times since I broke my wrist but it sure felt good.
I was going to post a picture of someone jumping their FJR but oddly enough I couldn't find any. You could be the first...

Glad to hear it, bummer it's getting a little cool.
If not in the freezer this weekend give a scream, lets ride.
I am not on call and I don't think the better half has it all booked.
