Texting?

Driving the cage yesterday in OKC, at I 240 and I 35 interchange I passed a kid(well hopefully a kid, looked like one) on a Ninja 250 or maybe 500 looking at his cell phone while riding. I could not believe it. He was following right behind a car and just in front of another, going about 50 on the exit lane for I35 southbound. Not heavy traffic, but not light either. God must protect fools.

I texted someone on my bike 5-6 years ago. Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever done.

Touch screens make it a bit more challenging ... if you're going to text on a bike. Actually keys (buttons) make it easier.

Heck, even in a car it's not the safest.

My sister was following me on a road trip and could tell by watching the truck if I was texting or not. Definitely pulls your attention away from the road for too long. Don't even want to think about it on a bike.

NC just made texting WHILE driving illegal.

Sounds like they worded the law so that you could text while stopped at a light??

AND the Police are exempt???? WHY ????? WTF

The same reason police are exempt from ALL traffic laws...they are above the law...or so they think.

New texting law goes into effect here tomorrow, 50$ fine if caught first time, 100$ for repeat offenders.

that's nothing.. while in italy, i saw sooo many people riding scooters/bikes while talking/texting, dodging through traffic, squeezing in between buses, city walls, cars, etc without even batting an eye. chicks were even wearing mini skirts, high heels, blouse, AND they drive the fastest lol. talk about a real eye opener!
