Insurance claim

I got a letter in the mail from the clinic I go to for my broken wrist saying they need all the insuarance info about my motor vehicle accident claim. I provided my health insurance card when I went in and never intended to make a claim on my motorcycle insurance since the bike has little damage and I just need a new helmet, I'd rather just not deal with my insurance premium going up for the bike. The lady I need to talk to is gone until thursday but has anyone here been in a similar situation, do I need to make a claim on my motorcycle insurance or can I just use my health insurance?

My feeling is it's my insurance, I should get to decide which insurance I use if I'm paying multiple premiums to multiple companies.

I told the Doctor that I'd wrecked a motorcycle when I went in for my knee, so far all the expenses have been billed to my health insurance. No mention was ever made of my motorcycle insurance having anything to do with it.

Avoid filling a claim on your motorcycle policy at all costs. Another forum I'm on was discussing this recently. Stories were all about the same. They wrecked, filled a claim, then the next year their motorcycle insurance doubled.

My medical has paid for everything so far. I wouldn't file a claim unless you have to. I know my insurance will probably double next year because of it.
