Welcome to the site- i have an 03 myself, and couldnt be happier with all the bikeccnado.
Nice piece of video, and road - looks like riding the Snake should go on a person's bucket list!
In yr video, it looks like yr blue high beam indicator is on, on your dash, and I thought I saw the same thing on nd4sp's video too - is that standard procedure for you guys, running yr headlight on high beam during the day, or is it just a strange coincidence?

hey k1w1, it boils down to preference but some of us ride with highbeams on during the day. i personally do and i advocate others to do so as well. it increases visibility during the day and helps others to become aware of us.
most accidents for motorcyclists actually happen on beautiful calm days. that's when people pay attention the least to their surroundings. contrary to popular belief, you are actually safer on the road in a downpour/night than you are on a bright sunny day because in the downpour and/or night increases people's awareness of their surroundings (even if only marginally).
so yes, they're running their high beams on during daylight hours, i do the same, so does andrew, and a few others.

yup i run high beams as well all the time during the day for sake of visibility... and only turn them off when someone flashes their high beams back at me at dusk / night.

correct, I run them, all the time except fallowing a fellow rider. Here in Los Angeles you could be wearing a suit made of reflectors and some dumb shit will still not see you.
