Pocket Bikes on The Dragon

I laughed the whole way through this. Saw it posted somewhere else but didn't see it here.

Too bad you cant get away with that up there now - A buddy of mine used to take his YZ80 Supermotard up there and kill it - but, as with all good things , the cops came in and stopped it - sigh -

I love the ending where the guy just picks the bike up and runs back onto the road....

I thought that was really stupid. Part of what was funny.

You ever been on those roads that are plenty straight to pass on, but for some reason it is still double yellow? Obviously 129 is not that road...however, we have TONS of those around here. I never cross a double yellow...even if the road is straight.

That was pretty hilarious. I thought the guy in blue was gonna get hit that one time in the middle.
+1 on picking the bike back up being epic

That was histerical! But the yellow line thing isn't that taboo... is it? I have no problem passing on a double yellow in a straight as long as no one is comming. I won't ever do it in a turn, but come on... straight aways?

That's what I was referring to. There are tons of places where there is plenty of visibility and plenty of straight for a bike to pass, and sometimes even a cage. But I guess the road departments play it on the safe side and make the double yellow too long...or maybe they are just too lazy to make some areas hashed.

A small group of us (3 to be exact) passed a pickup on a straight stretch of double yellow once. We began the pass right at the end of the passing zone. Probably still over 1/4 mile to the next bend. We went on the back way and had to stop and get fuel. We ended up meeting the pickup at the gas station. The two of us on Standards (919 and ZRX) didn't need fuel, but the 600rr guy did. He got yelled at by the lady in the truck. She said she would run him over and he was a danger to everyone on the road. There was some mention of him needing to tatoo his vital information on his balls so they could identify the body. I don't know. She said nothing to us and her husband was just turning away from us in embarrassment. She tried to get our license plates. (mine was still a temporary paper plate with the outer 4 numbers folded in so it fit in the plate bracket and you can't see the 600rr plate without getting much closer than she was.) That incident has pretty well deterred me from passing anywhere near double yellows. Will I ever do it again? Depends on the situation...a car going 20 MPH on a section of road where I can see for a mile and obviously tell there is nothing coming...maybe.

I have seen this video on Youtube before. It is really funny. It's funny that a little pocket bike is passing up the cars. I agree about passing on the double yellow though, not the smartest idea.

yeah.. well.... i am sure the riding of non street legal mini bikes on public roads is not a smart thing.. crossing on double yellow is not a smart thing..

i know none of us ever pass in a no passing zone.. or exceed the posted speed limit.. or pop wheelies on public roads.. or exceed the Yellow speed limit signs on exit ramps.. or.. or.. or.. or..

before ya start chucking rocks open the door on your glass house... and remember these guys shot that video for you to laugh at cause they are idiots.. and i am sure THEY are good with that fact...

Holly that was halarious...They were definitely a little crazy though. Last shot where the guy over shot the exit of that turn and went off...then politely picked the bike back up and put back on the street and proceed again was priceless

Just one of the many illegal things I've seen at the gap. Pocketbikes, full out race prepped bikes, full out prepped race cars, dirt bikes, go karts, etc. What makes it funny to me is when people start complaining about the police effort around there.
