This was taken somewhere on a so-cal freeway.... the front forks have maybe 2" of travel left.

It's impressive he is riding! Surely it's the most exercise he's had in years and if he's lucky it will trigger his major life style changes, as it did for me. Still he dwarfs that cruiser to a moped!

I am pretty sure that first shot is on HWY 14 going north from I-5. The background is the cemetery at San Fernando road.

this choice may be forced - with his height and width riding a big cruiser may be way more comfortable than trying to jam into the car seat..

Yup, You nailed it - Highway 14 heading towards Palmdale. Sadly, the irony is that a friend of mine is buried there - and he died from a motorcycle accident.
