Nissan 300zx vs Honda 919

The guy on the 919....shouldn't he have been in a higher gear then 2nd, considering they were cruising at 70 mph?

I think this is a repost. I still find it amazing that they are comparing a Z car that has been heavily modified with a stock 919. I don't know about you guys, but I quite enjoy pulling away from Porche's and Modified Mustangs on my $4,000 stock standard motorcycle.

I have 2 different friends that both have naturally aspirated 300z and neither will even consider racing for fun.

It is pretty neat to see a niner in a video but wth did that prove? I would have liked to have seen the race to 70 instead.

Not fair picking on a little ol' 919. How about McCrimmon's or FJR919's FZ1 vs. that 300ZX? Either FZ1 would waste it.

I hope the Z driver can uncouple his rear brakes. If not, they're toasted.

I know plenty of guys with old muscle cars who have line locks on the front that allow them to press the pedal, flip a switch or push a button, release the brake and the line lock will keep pressure on the front but release the rear. I guess that's what you are talking about Jim. Keeps you from roasting the brakes along with the tires.

I wonder how many in the import tuner crowd really gets into that sort of thing?
