Great work! I thought of starting up some vids with my GoPro here in the spring... A bit cold to be starting now.

It's hard to say because the angles and lens are different... but I think it is. The tree to the right on your vid @ 2:27 and the same looking tree on the Johnny5 video @ 0:04

*edit: It is... the fence to the left @ both marks is there as well.

I'm not sure why, but that video came into mind as soon as I saw yours. I'm sure a lot of those canyons look alike. Careful out there man! But do keep the videos coming

will do guys... i tend to not like to ride the snake on the weekends simply because there is too much stupid out there... there are many other canyons with FAR less people on them to play on. btw its kinda hard to make out but in the snake vid the guy sitting on the wall that i wave to is mantelhonda .... too bad he didnt have his 919 out.

was out and about yesterday... hit up coral canyon (video comming) but in the mean time... heres the vid of me caught red handed... beautiful wheelie out of the top turn of the snake... i had just gone down and no LEO's around ... then ninja bike cop out of no where... made that last left hand saw him and went FML... pulled over ... no lights no siren.

Guy was a cool guy tho, shortly after i turned the camera off i asked how his day was going, he said damn good im blasting some canyons on the clock... then he asked "how was your day up untill now" ... then took a look at my license and papers handed em back, and said go have fun within reason.

Why did he ask you to turn off your camera? Don't you have the right to record any transaction with the police? Or I guess it's two-party consent?

Seems like a no brainer to me to leave it on, unless there is some law against it. I thought there would be a clause that would allow you to do so.

pretty sure if the cop asks not to be recorded you cant record him... its only after he gives his consent to being recorded that you can do so.

But regardless, at that point in time, it was out of respect for him, cus he seriously coulda gotten me good...

He probably also didnt want the whole... letting someone go after they just pulled such "illegal" things on camera.

Wow, I did not know this, you would think you could record it all, I don't see where the problem is if they are doing their job.

Ha, yeah that's probably why he did it. And I would have been the dude who got all "What's the problem officer, if you're doing everything by the book it shouldn't be an issue, etc" followed quickly by a hefty ticket.

ya, theres no law per say that says you cant record them directly... but there are laws stating you cant record someone without their consent. And ya... at that point, i was gonna do what ever he wanted to get out of that ticket...

Actually, there are quite a number of hiking trails off Tuna Canyon, few of which are "official". Nonetheless, it's a popular hiking jump off point.

Did you see the tire marks on the road that lead straight into the rock wall?

Cool vids. I have a preference without music - I just like hearing the bike!

Couple of things - you all ride on the wrong side of the road.......

Man those roads a smooth, unlike my goat tracks.

Missed them completely. Guess the Prius was holding my attention, though I could not for the life of me figure out the Ouch comment.

It an artifact of my riding philosophy: if it's not a threat I can ignore it. The Prius was a potential threat while the skid marks weren't. Kind of makes me wonder what else I'm missing while canyon carving.

That's just one of many roads up there. On my periodic rides we would average 120 miles of pretty much continuous twisties.

I think the "ouch" was meant for whomever owned the corresponding skid marks in their pants.

Ya i would like to make the vids with just bike sound.... but alas stock pipes and the position i have my camera mounted leads to just straight wind noise above 10mph. And there are some NASTY roads around here too... yerba buena comes to mind... i rarely hit that cus its just not fun.

I wish it was snowing more here.... no snow in the local mtns in month... and no snow at the major resort (mammoth mtn) in over a month and a half... its been a horible season... tho i do plan on possibly tuesday strapping the mini snow ski's to the back of the 919, and hit up HWY 2 to wrightwood / mt high (where i have my season pass) and go skiing haha.
