That sucks. Most guys are worried about the landing, not dodging beams mid-jump. Poor engineering on whoever set up the supports and the ramp. Any idea how extensive his injuries were?

Wow that was terrible! However designed the ramp needs to be held accountable. Did the rider make it?

Nevermind he is alive, great to hear he is not severely injured (brain damage, paraylyzed, etc)

I bet they made several test jumps before the show every started. If that circus is like the ones that come around here, they do the same stuff every night for at least 3 days too.

+1, they certainly do. That's what makes this so bizarre. Something changed and wasn't noticed or the rider hit the ramp at more speed than at practice.

This is a better view. It looks like it wasn't a speed issue.

I dunno. Looks like it would have hurt though. He didn't seem to hit the lighting equipment . Almost looked like whatever he hit was with part of the bike as well. If he had just hit something with his body, I would have expected the bike to almost ghost ride out from under him. Looks like they both his something and started flipping.

it appears he snagged his head on a guy wire that happened to be strung up across his path. it doesn't say if the guy wire was strung up before or after practice sessions.

If you mean whoever designed the ramp.
How is that person responsible for where the ramp gets placed after he designs it?
