Not sure what he expected when he raised the (ice?) ax at the officer. I wonder if they would've shot him as quickly if the officer with the pepper spray hadn't stumbled trying to holster his firearm.

Dudes in the peanut gallery in the video are a bunch of jackasses. They spent the first half laughing at the guy getting his ass shot after he lunged at the cop, then they sit there and try and come up with all the things the cops could've done instead of shoot the guy.

the guy busted out all the windows in the place first.. and was TAZED IN THE FACE .. not pepper sprayed... dude East LA is a gnarly place , if i was the cop I would have done the same. My boss is a mountaineer and just recently ordered a nice ice axe and it was in the shop for a bit... those things are sharp as fuck!
