first street helmet was a NOVA (scary, huh?) Second an AGV, which fell apart within 6 mos. (brothers AGV also fell apart & they would not fix) switched to shoei... and still use for snowmobiling. But I just got a Corsair to replace the Quantum f, which still fits like a glove.
Anyone else get the "ice cream headache" from shoei? It's like it's too much presure on the middle of forehead.
You can never have too many helmets.
1-Schuberth flip up with flip sun visor - the best. My main stay.
3-Vemars, one of them is carbon fiber. Good fit, The best aerodynamics by far.
1-KBC. The cheapest but by far the best fit.
2-Nolans, A good flip up helmet. Decent fit but a little warmer in summer.
Some are a little louder then other but I always wear ear plugs so it doesn't matter.

I'm with Sub_Zero... just upgraded from a Shoei RFR to the RF-1000 Joust. I got 10 good years out of the RFR, just got tired of a solid color!! I do like the visor lock and quick disconnect visor.
I've posted this on several different forums, but it is worth repeating again I've been a helmet snob for years, but the VEMAR helmets are great. I have been using SHOEI quite religiously now for a very long time, but also have enough experience with ownership of ARAI, Fulmer, Bieffe & HJC helmets to know that the SHOEI name is equal to the public's perception of their product being a touch above most other brands. The VEMAR helmet that may not have quite the overall build quality when compared to the SHOEI, but it is quieter, lighter, fits better, has equal if not better ventilation as the topend SHOEI's & better crash protection rating! All at a price that is almost too good to be true. This helmet is the best bang for the buck ($160 shipped) I have ever seen. When I put it on I don't feel like I am putting on a cheap HJC or Fulmer type helmet I don't get that feeling that when I show up at Starbucks the other helmet snobs are gonna silently laugh at my choice of riding gear plus I can pick up 2 of these VEMAR's for the cost of one mainstream SHOEI & while the crash rating stuff didn't used to mean a whole lot to me in the past, as an instructor for the 06 season & knowing that I am going to be spending a ton of tracktime in swarms of unpredictable students I am now very interested in keeping my head out of harms way the best way I can.
here www.sportbiketrackgear.com $160 Vemars all day long... He also supplies the tinted visor & even repair kits etc... Parts none of the other VEMAR dealers even stocked in the US
So you actually own one of these right now? And say it's as good or better than Shoei or Aria? Because if that is the case, and I trust ya, I'll buy one.
