It speaks for itself:
Ross Nanotechnology's NeverWet superhydrophobic spray-on coating - YouTube
OOOOH, what I would do with a can of that...
I think I would coat my entire bike, minus the rubber, and all my gear.
Think of the possibilities:
1) Rain gear that you put away DRY after a rainstorm
2) Bugs won't stick to your visor and water literally won't stay on it.
etc.
Although I wonder what would happen if you sprayed this in somebody's eyes?
And I'm sure there are 'other' applications, but those are best left to the imagination :whistling:.

So my neverwet should be arriving today.
What are some things you guys would use it on? keep in mind it has a frosted finish, so glass, and glossy paint is a no go, at least for me
bike related or non bike related.
shower tile would be perfect. never have to clean the shower or grout again

You could apply it to the inside of your tale bag, if its not already water proof.

Great idea. My tank, tail, and soft saddlebags all have water proof covers that can be put on when raining.

NeverWet?
So my buddy picked some up from Home Depot and this was the result. I don't think I will be using this as expected.

Is that permanently discolored or just what it looks like sprayed on? :lurker-eating-popco

Just adjust the colors on your monitor and you wont be able to tell the difference....

Didn't they post a warning saying that stuff doesn't work well on leather due to changing it's color?

Spray it on your kids at halloween. Free smurf costumes and can trick or treat in the rain.:whistling:

I'm not sure what it does to leather, but yeah, it discolors what ever you spray white.
Severely limits what I would do with it

The demo video I saw showed a pair of white shoes repelling mustard...

it works awesome. it is just frosty white in color. There are videos on colored items. I think they have a clean version at neverwet. It is just not yet available to consumers yet

I wonder if it ok to use on the soft top of convertible.

I'd be really worried about that.
Ideally go find one in a junkyard and test it on that convertible top. But that would be hard to find.
Do you have someone you know, who you don't like, who owns a convertible, and parks it outside? :lurker-eating-popco
