Gmax 68s helmet owners

I got really tired of barely bumping the back of my helmet and accidentally turning the LED lights on. I took the lens off and exposed the little switch underneath the rubber outer shell. With a pair of scissors, I slowly started snipping the end of the switch off (the little hard plastic lever is a solid piece). Take a little piece off at a time and recheck it. I left it about 1/8" (3.2 mm) put it back together and it works great! You have to actually use force to push in on the rubber piece to activate switch.

cool idea. I just took the batteries out. I walked into the garage at night a few times and it was just flashing away since I would take it off after a day ride and not check the lights. A few times of this and the batteries died. Then I just took them out and threw them away.

hard to run from the po po at night with a flashing beacon strapped to your head...

(do not run from the po po they are your friends and they just want to give you a warm handshake and in some cases a hug and tell you that your actions are not safe... so please don't run from the cops)

cops suck.

A state trooper rode my but yesterday for like 2 miles on the bypass. I'm talking close. So close I couldn't see his headlights behind my truck. I was moving along at five over and barely creeping past traffic. As soon as I got past a long line, I moved right so he could pass. He floored it. So did I. I started riding his butt (not quite as closely) as we clipped along at 85 MPH in a 55!!! I saw him hang up his cell phone, glance in the mirror, then he immediately slowed down to 60. I think he thought my big black truck might have been an undercover cop ready to bust him for being an idiot.

how do you like the helmet generally though? i read good things about it. tried one on yesterday and was amazed by its weight. great deal, $107 with a bag, an extra visor(smoke) and sleeve, smoke led cover. all in. how well are the vents? what about the visor view?
