New to the Forum and New Rider CB1000R

I bought my first bike back in August and put about 2500 miles on it so far. I kind of did an impulse buy one day and got the CB1000R but it has turned out to be a great bike. I drive about 150 miles a day for my job as a market manager and have used and plan on using my bike again for work at least a couple days a week. I'm still very new to riding and have a lot to learn. I plan on taking the advanced rider course in the spring now that I have a basic idea of what I am doing. I have always been into cars and even recognize Jeffie7 (how is that powerlab turbo kit treatin ya man? haha) from my350z.com. I have a supercharged 350Z but that just doesn't quite satisfy my need for speed and the funds and the problems required to make a car as fast as a bike are astronomical. Anyway, I have been on hondacb1000r.com for awhile forum but everyone seems to be from Europe. Not that, that is a bad or anything (actually a great group of guys on there) but it's just nice to converse with people that talk in terms of mph and dollars rather than kph and euros for a change. This forum seems to have a lot more activity which keeps things interesting. I will be adding videos and pictures in the future as I have with my car on youtube (bcbc1975) as I'm planning on buying either a GoPro or Drift170 HD camera. I look forward to sharing and learning new ideas and experiences with you guys. There is nothing better than talking with a bunch of people with the same hobbies as yourself and this forum looks to be a really good one!

Nice first bike! Welcom to the site. We have a few members that have gone over to the CB1000R. They seem to enjoy it. This guy has changed the exhaust if your looking to do that.

Picked my CB1000r today

Have fun!

Hi! Welcome to WT.

I sat on a 2012 CB1000R at the local motorcycle show (Long Beach) recently. Really nice bike - loved it. Can't afford one, though, which led me to the 919.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. Great place to talk to
People and get advise. New to the forum as well and an avid car enthusiast but there is nothing quite like a bike.
