919 from NJ

Hey guys,

I'm from the Cherry Hill area of NJ.

I have a 2007 Honda 919. Its a great all around bike. I bought it in the summer of 2009 new as a "leftover" with no miles it!! Have around 13,500 miles on it now and the bike is still stock except for new tires.

The 919 is my first motorcycle although I have ridden others' bikes for years. My brother has a 1996 Honda Nighthawk 750 that I have probably put more miles on than he has.

Those with 919s, any issues that I should be aware of? Any upgrades that are worth the coin? Any upgrades that give you a real HP boost?

I am always looking for nice twisty roads to try, so if anyone has any suggestions for NJ, DE, Eastern PA, Northern MD and Southern NY please let me know.

I currently do most of my riding up through the tip of DE towards and around West Chester, Downingtown, Frazer, and Malvern PA. There are some really great roads in that area.

Welcome aboard Bill. This is the place for some great information on the 919. Do a little searching for problem areas in the Mechanical/Technical section. I have 56K on the '03 with no major problems.

I did. That's why I chose the first Sunday for the meet. If some riders are close enough, they could attend both if they wish. Just remember to save your appetite for Millers.
