Summer Swarm: Ronks, Pa 8/7/11

This Meet/Greet/& Eat is open to everyone and is not limited to 919 riders. We are meeting at Millers Smorgasbord on Sunday,August 7th, about 12:30 pm at the east end of the parking lot, tire kick for an hour or so, and then have lunch inside at 1:30 pm. Chime in to RSVP so we can get a head count and call in a reservation.

If you haven’t been to Millers before, you are in for a treat:

I am in, if I am in the states. I have a trip to England in August that hasn't been booked yet. I will know for certain in a week or so.

Man I really wanted to make this one since it's fairly close, but my son's 18th B-day is that day. I knew something seemed real familiar about that date.

Hey Guys,

Even though I just joined, it would be good to meet some people from this site and the Lancaster area is only about 2 hours away for me. I am not sure yet because of a family function but I will try.

Hey Doc, I do have a suggestion for you guys. That Sunday is the same day that a local town has a motorcycle rally. It is in Ephrata PA. They call it "First Sunday". Its held on the first Sunday (shocker) of the spring to early fall months. I went two months ago with some friends and there were tons of bikes. It is usually from 8 am to 12 pm which would fit perfect into your plans for those who dont have very long rides to meet up. It is about 15 miles from where you want to meet for lunch.

You can check out the link above just ignore the dates because for some reason they dont update their webpage.

Anyone heading from South Jersey? I know some great roads to get to that area.

If I can go (I wont know until the day before) I will be going to the motorcycle rally first.

I just thought about this today and was going to post that up. I have yet to make it out to one of those meets but have a few friends that go every month.

I'll be doing the route today.
I'll have a better handle on time when I'm done.
We will always have the option of shaving time on the way home via I 78 if need be, but it will a nice run down via back roads.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast for tomorrow will trump our event at Millers Smorgasbord. There is a 50-60% chance of precipitation all day for the region with thunder showers starting late today and carrying into next week.

Next Sunday(8/14) looks even worse with respect to the weather.

Please stay tuned for a rain date.
