*PING* Texas Brethren

...And/or Sistern,

My supervisor asked me what I thought about working in Dallas TX for a month...he says there is a sizeable bonus involved. I have accepted ,contingent on a few factors that need to be agreed on before I leave.

As it sits, I'll be headed to Dallas on Mar 7th, driving a company truck...it should be an adventure. I'd be very interested in meeting up with any of our WT brethren who are down in Texas... MajorRager, Texas Traffic, etc... Hopefully I can figure out a way to transport my bike down to Texas...

I'm a few hours down the road, just started a new gig today so not sure how much free time I'm going to have. I've been wanting to ride up to Dallas for a while to meet some of the WT bretheren, as well as some irc bretheren also in the area. If this thread stays alive it'll serve as a reminder for me to go up their mid/late march.

I wish I knew where I'll be staying while I'm there...knowing my company, it will be some crappy ass "No-tell Motel".

I dont know the Dallas area at all, but I've dated a couple of girls from there.

Ah well, Have GPS Will Travel...

PM sent.

Bring the bike if you can. March is the start of GOOD riding weather.

I have a contact with Dallas area riding information. If you get to the Austin or San Antonio areas, you will be close to the best twisties in Texas.
Link to the Twisted Sisteers
Lots of good riding north of that area, too.

yeah come on down to san antonio and lets tear up the twisted sisters! BTW one of the 3 bitches, I mean sisters, is where I low-sided my first 9er. Not bad roads, just a bad driver. That's not saying you won't run into some crap out in that area, but it's toooons of fun even if you do!

That's nice of you guys to help a fellow colorodoan out when he's down there. I was just talking to him the other day, he's pretty excited about the trip, cuz everything's bigger in Texas, and he's hoping you guys can help find a "big" girl to his tastes, these lil girls up here in CO just don't do it for him.

LOL, hope you guys can meet up with him, he's a good un.

San Antonio is THE place for big girls in Texas. I used think the stock show was year round until I realized some of those heifers being driven down the street were just the women.

p.s. if you do head down this direction, bring some micro-brews with you! Texas laws revolving around beer is pretty crappy (Support H.B. 660!)

Well damn, I was hoping for more notice. Bike in tow?

I crashed my cr250 today and tore up my back a bit, buuuuut if you are going to be in low-down D-town for a month I can probably recoup and make the ride. I make no promises though. The last time I trashed my back it took more than a month for the spasms to stop. 3 weeks if you exclude the trip to the quack chiropractor.

Sorry man, don't think I could handle an 11+hr round trip, with riding in between. ETO is running low, what little I have I'm saving in hopes of a deals gap trip. Maybe they'll send you back down, or better yet my company will have me attend a conference in your neck of the woods.

Well I finally got to hook up with Declan on sunday before he had to leave. Enjoyed meeting him, we had a good time on the bikes. I borrowed a buddys vstar 1100 and he took my 919 and we hit the local roads for a few hours. It was a little chillier than we might have liked but not bad. Was a fun day and was real good to actually meet another WT'er.

I only have one pic but here it is.
