Parkway Ride

Decided to get together with my brother and a couple of friends and hit the parkway.

All loaded up and ready to go. Yes that is a 10 person tent on the back.

Grabbed some breakfast and started on our way.

Decided to set back and enjoy the view.

We stopped about every 30 to 40 miles to enjoy the scenery.

We stayed at the Meadows of Dan Campground (A guy in the next site over was snoring like crazy so we got little sleep)

Woke up and hit breakfast for some much needed coffee.

Enjoyed some sites and headed home.

Overall we had a great time and I now need a new front tire
Btw: don't buy metzler sportec m1's. I got about 3500 out of front and 3000 back. Just put a Pilot Road 2 on the back and I love it. New front is on order.

Man, that looks like a great trip. I love the BRP.

Did you just camp for 1 night?

Yup, Just the 1 night. Wish we could have done more but we all have young kids and it seems to be birthday season. Also, one of the other riders and myself just got back from a 4 day OBX ride about 2 weeks ago so we didn't push it with the wives.

Awesome. We're getting ready to take the parkway down to southwest VA/West VA this weekend.
How were the road conditions? I'm sure they keep that road pretty clean.

The roads were very clean although there were some pot holes here and there. Be careful if there is a quick shower because the road gets slick. A guy went down on are Harley just ahead of us this weekend. He was fine but the bike didn't look to good.
