Oklahoma city--> DFW area trip

Heading to OK city then driving to DFW area for some work training next week, anyone from that area know any good cycle shops or anything worth doing while in the area?

There are a ton of cool things to do in the area. However, the DFW metroplex is huge. Do you have an idea of which part of town you'll be in?

If you're into bbq, try Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse | Restaurants - Inwood Road Dallas, Texas

If you're into Mexican food (not Tex-Mex), Aparicios Restaurant & Tequila Bar: Plano, TX

Hmmm. Never heard of Rockville. If you're in Greenville, Texas, you're too far from Dallas to come into town just for shops/eats. If you're on Greenville Rd., you're close to everything.

If you want to check out a great shop for gear, go to MotoLiberty. Near Royal Ln. and I-35. Strokers is not too far from there. Bunch of Victory bikes and the new Royal Enfield, plus the odd custom and Harley. General bike hangout. For classic bikes, stop by Big D Cycle. Also in the general vicinity. Sometimes they have some cool stuff for sale in there, sometimes nothing going on. Hit or miss. But just between those three, you could waste a good afternoon and not drive all over town.

Lucille's recommendation's are good. Only go to the original Sonny Bryan's on Inwood, though. Lockhart Barbeque on Bishop is the best for brisket. If you're on Greenville, it's loaded with restaurants and clubs. Cheese fries at Snuffers are a must. Get em loaded. Heart attack on a plate!

Okay guys. I'm in downtown Ft. Worth at the Renaissance Worthington hotel. Is there anything out this way? The places I looked at that you posted were all about an hour away.

My brother lives in DFW area. The old Ft. Worth stockyard area is pretty fun, plenty of GREAT BBQ and mom-n-pop restaurants, that would be my recommendation.

If you're still in Ft. Worth again tomorrow night, you should try Fred's cafe.

I'll be here. Probably try Fred's tomorrow. I'm not sure how much time I'll have on Friday, but I think my flight leaves at 1:30. if we have time, it looks like the stockyards are on the way to the airport. The filet was awesome!!! It was a bit pricy though. Almost $40 for the steak...literally just the steak. It was another $8 to add a side.

8.0 is a good downtown happy hour place. Friday they will have a band on the patio. The Pour House is a fun place. 10 min from downtown. Band, pool, lots of good looking girls. Sorry. All I know in Ft. Worth are drinking establishments. Lol.

Oh yeah, I asked the Parts Guy about shops to check out in the area. Evidently, the shops in Greenville are pretty lame.

However, Rockwall Honda Yamaha out on I30 is supposed to be pretty neat. They have race bikes on display and stuff. And from what I gather, it's run by a guy that used to road race. I'm fuzzy on the details, but you should definitely check it out.

Well, I've had a nice little trip getting to run around to every motorcycle shop I could find. Got to check out bikes I haven't been able to see in my hick town. Favorite so far was a VFR1200 at a little honda dealership in Greenville, I'm kind of disappointed I didn't get to check out that rockwall shop, but I had my ticket home changed because the one I had, had me getting home at like 1am Fri, and that wouldn't work with my having to go to the midnight release of my favorite video game (Skyrim). Now I'm flying out of DFW at the ass crack of dawn tomorrow. I'll be back here soon enough to visit the Rockwall place. Anyways, holy cow that VFR was nice, felt lighter than my 9er and looks BA. Maybe I'll pick up a used one in a couple years. Anyone here have one or have ridden one?

Did you see the spoon?

Oh, and I re-installed Oblivion last night - preparatory to Skyrim! Just wanted to see how it looked to compare.
