Gen Admission tix are the best and I was able to see any part of the track just by walking around...
Ducati Island is the best with the most bling for your eyes to wonder over...
Was even able to get a picture of the pits...
Just about every brand was represented with some wild stuff I'd never seen before. I also happened to stumble upon a vintage bike rally while I was walking out on Friday.
Best in show.

I then ran across the Harley XR1200 pits. They were running the Harley's after the MOTO GP race...
Crappy old scrambler that was having charging problems.
Sbeau got to try many bikes on for size while we were there as well!

SBeau is very photogenic! It was a good weekend and I am happy to have met a couple of you guys. Sorry I didn't make it around to meet the rest. The races were great to watch. I still can't believe how loud the 800s are. Wow! Talk about monster machines roaring by. Tons of people with Rossi jerseys who left very disappointed after he crashed in qualifying, started 14th, missed turn 1 and ran out onto the oval, etc. Stoner ran away with it. Spies had a crap start but made it back to finish 3rd which pleased the locals. Hayden got up to 4th then dropped to last. I personally found the XR1200 races to be very entertaining. 30 bikes that run 10 laps - looks like the wild west!
Penthouse B seats provided a great view. Row A is on the ledge with no columns. I was in row G on race day which has columns but there are very thin and so don't obstruct the view much at all. Being out of the sun is worth it.
This is too funny. You are taking pics from my exact seat. Penthouse B Row A Seats 1 & 2. They were great seats! We stood at the finish line for the XR1200 race.
My wife and I had a ball at the races and now she actually has asked several times if she could go on a ride with me. Shes always said "yes" but when ride time comes, she always has an excuse not to go. Maybe she's coming around. That right there may have been worth the price of admission.
Here is my Moto2 pic:

Wow, really? I sat in those seats on Friday and Saturday to watch the practice and qualifying. My buddy and I were the ones with a cooler full of Heineken and the stack of empty cans

I'm not nearly as photogenic as that beautiful Ducati girl!
So to continue the story of our Moto GP/Midwest Rally...
Saturday my buddy Scott on his Super Duke, Nathan riding Scott's FJR, Jarhead, and I thought a ride sounded better than spending another day at the track... So, we mounted up and road south to Spencer, IN and Bloomington, IN to get in some of Indiana's curvy back country roads. I didn't have my tank bag on so no riding pics but...
That evening, we waited for Cheap's entourage then headed downtown Indy for the Bikes on Meridian event. They estimate that 30,000 bikes showed up that evening. Everything and anything with two and three wheels showed up.
Cheap was looking hard for a second bike. I think he is in love!
Redbull girls were everywhere handing out drinks. And getting molested by 2ndChapter and Cheap.
We came across an old Harley chick that had 2ndChapter's face tattooed on her arm.
Exotic bikes were everywhere!

We got to the track around 10am Sunday after my wife made pancakes and I went through three pounds of bacon and 22 eggs with all the guys! 2ndChapter was instantly in his element...
There was a huge variety of vendors...
And then, Ducati Island...
I actually kinda like the Diavel!

Then, I got to watch a MX bike do some crazy stuff!

Then I got a call from a friend who had suite passes and I went to see what they would be like... AMAZING!
My view of the track was spectacular!
The free beer and food was pretty good too!
Then there was a RedBull air show.
Got back to my seat and the view was still amazing!
All over, saw some cool stuff on the way out.

Last meal of the weekend was spaghetti that my wife and mother-in-law cooked while we were at the race.
Thanks for the memories guys!
