Picked up a new ride.

Well, new to me at least. It's a 2001 Ducat 996, almost stock. It's got a carbon rear hugger, carbon rear brake line cover, a core kit in the pipes, and a chip. I've put a little over a hundred miles on it since I picked it up yesterday afternoon, and I'm loving the brutal, raw feel of the ride.

Congrats. I've always loved the look of those bikes. That looks to be a very nice one.

Dude, are you still in town?
I thought you were moving to Florida or something...

Nice bike, BTW... did you pick that up from Ducati Omaha?

Beautiful bike. Shines like a new penny, just more expensive.

I was, but when I went down to look at the school, I was seriously unimpressed, so I decided to hold off and go to school next year instead at a different uni.

Yeah, I did. 7300 out the door. I know it's pretty steep, 200 over bluebook, but the thing is soooooo clean that I had a hard time passing on it. That, and it has all of its service history, all services done on time, at the dealer, etc. I decided in the end that I'd rather spend the extra money now, instead of down the road.
