2009 Tuono Experience?

Any body ever ridden one of these? Dealer in St. Pete, FL has 3 different color choices for $8499 (plus ~200 in fees). I gotta believe they would be less comfy than a 919. I like the white checkered look!

Nice bikes, but I've heard some horror stories about parts and repair costs.

They have a niche following here in NZ and Oz and the guys that have them, swear by them as the ultimate hooligan/fun machine. Not a novice bike by any means (not saying you are - don't know your skill level).
IMO, the Tuono is one of the closest production street fighters you can buy, that adheres to the street fighter spirit – basically a stripped down, handle barred version of the sports model, in this case the RSV 1000. When you stand next to one, you can see this. Basically for all intents and purposes a RSV with the fairings torn off.

Just do some homework on parts and service back-up in your area.
