saw this video on another forum, still breathtaking nonetheless. dude is soo lucky that didnt get any uglier! so strange to see a hub shear off like that. reminds me of the mag rims that people used back in the 70's and had the same problem. no way these would be mags as well?

wonder what caused it.

In the same race he ran, there was a rider that was having troubles with their bike just before the start -- either getting started or other.

I "heard" that this might have been the same rider - perhaps putting the bike back together, they goofed ( too loose / too tight on the hub. )

That was nutty, but not as nutty as Biaggi. His head was somewhere else all weekend.

Yeah I think Biaggi sometimes is a nut job. He knows Melandri will whoop his ass this year so he comes over to his pits and slaps Melandri. He ignores the drive thru penalty. Just absolutely unprofessional. They should have suspended him the next round. My 2c.

I love the jab about the soccer players knees buckling and holder their faces like acid had just been thrown. However, Melandri took that a lot better than I would have, that's for sure but good on him for staying professional and let Biaggi look like a douche bag.
