I'm thinking of going this year and making it a 2 for 2 US moto GP series. Has anyone camped at the track? I'm wondering what to expect? I can camp in any type of conditions, but was just curious as to how crowded/overpopulated the campsite gets.

Hope to see a bunch of WT'ers there.

I think HondaJim has camped there. I also think there are a few people in the Indy area that will let you camp at their place. I am 2 hours south of Indy and going to ride up everyday and you are more than welcome to camp out here.

If you call staying in my friend's motorhome that is nicer than my house camping then yes I have. Call and reserve a site at one of the IMS campgrounds right next to the track. Good times.

Or take hoosier919 up on his offer. It's a quick jaunt to the track and you'll get to see a lot of corn.

You can stay for free in my house (on a blow up mattress) or camp if you prefer. I am 10 minutes from the track.

hahaha.. Just what I need, more corn. I think I saw every last corn stalk in America on my way back from California this year.

Sounds like a plan. Without my camping gear i can travel light. What is your schedule for the race? Friday-Sunday or just heading in on Sunday for the big race?
