I can hardly WAIT to get riding again and go back to the track!
This didn't hurt my will to ride in the least.
As I laid there after the wreck my first thought was, "I hope my body and bike can still ride the rest of the day out"
The very first year I got a motorcycle I met up with a friend from highschool I hadn't seen in a couple years and found out he had one also. He had crashed a couple months prior and he told me that once you crash you develop so much more respect for the sport and it makes you want to ride even more. I thought that sounded crazy but he was absolutely right.

Working on my cage dropped a SS nut in the door, then remembered SS can't be picked up by magnets.
How's it going Wolverine? Did you decide on your new SO?
Last Monday I went to the doctor because one of the pins started coming out of my hand... through the otherside... from the inside!! THAT hurt.
So she's jackin around with the problem pin and without warning, quickly pulls it out of my hand. Felt OH so weird.
The rest of the pins are scheduled to come out this Tuesday, but we'll see what the x-rays show.

New SO?? 2002 RC-51 for life! I just might have a mistress on the side for track days only.
Pins are out. They were all drilled into bone, didn't know that. The doc was half way on the table holding the long pliers with 2 hands. What a disgusting feeling having them yanked yanked and yanked again by the doctor trying go get them out. Took 15-20 seconds of twisting and pulling each out, bit by bit.
She was oh so kind to tell me "This last pin is going to be the worst." She wrestled with it like she playing tug-o-war until it finally popped all the way out. She went one way while my hand went SMACK down on the table. Ow.
The feeling of something scraping inside bone across marrow is undescribable.

What a description! YIKES! Did she give you a broom stick to bite down on and tell you it may smart a little?
On the plus it is all behind you, so when are you getting back in the saddle?
All parts are in for the bike! I just have to get the oil pan off to get a tiny hole welded.
Currently my hand hurts worse and is more sensative than when the pins were in it so I'll have to wait for that to subside before wrenching on it.
Very soon, I hope.
So those pins were actually doing something. You got your money's worth!
Wrench with the good hand, you have a small window before snow. If you do fall on ice make sure to land on the good hand.
On second thought wait for Spring, and enjoy the company of your nurses.
I had to put the camera down at this point and hold my hand down myself as she went to using 2 hands to pull/twist, plus I thought I was going to drop the camera. #3 bled profusely, I will spare you that photo. The tabletop looked like a murder scene afterwards.
