Ben's speed is impressive at Valencia, I hope his knack for learning tracks quickly is alive and well next year.
He's gonna finish well next year and raise eyebrows I can just feel it!
And Nicky, well, there's been a lot of encouraging stuff this year but it's all been completely offset by his incredibly crappy luck. I don't think it's possible for him two have two star-crossed years in a row like that!
Bottom line is we should have some home interests on the TV next year in MotoGP!
I do wish Ducati gives Nicky the chance of some input on the development of the GP10, otherwise, we will see another mediocre year from all of the Ducati riders... except Stoner of course.
The ability of Spies to change riding styles amazes me. I didn't give him enough credit and I still don't, to early to tell but... I do wish he continues to progress as well as he has done it so far.

Spies learns quick. He will do well next season I see be a consistent top 5 rider. It wouldn't be far off in saying a win at Lagauna or Indy could be possible. Being on a non factory bike will be some what of limiting factor. Have to see what kind of support Yamaha gives him.
Don't know but Yamaha has decide who is lead rider this season according to Rossi. Edwards has been doing fine and finished consistent. He's a good development rider.
I know Edwards seems happy now but if Spies is getting parts before him I see trouble down the road

You can say what ever omes first to your Ghei-ish mouth... it has never stopped you before. Now be advised, make sure you have the full facts (like checking the time sheets for day 2) before the kid makes you swallow donkey milk next year!
I don't believe that he could/would beat the top four (IMO Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa), but I believe that he has earned the right to be supported like these folks, to see if he could. I'm not saying that he didn't have a good team, but instead saying that being on a first tier team likely has its benefits.
Edwards was VERY satisfied with best of the rest this year. I hope Hayden and Spies can bridge that gap between Edwards and the front 4. I wish Colin would too.

Even when Colin was Rossi's teammate and had the same bike, he was not able to amount to much. He has actually done much better now that he is not under Vale's shadow and he will tell you that.
I will go as far as to say that I consider Colin a much better developer rider than even Vale but, just as barrichello in F1, knows that his place will never be with the Aliens. He is very happy and content with the check he gets at the end of the day though... more so when he just won best of the rest!
I'm definitely pulling for the Americans next year. I may even spring for cable so I can actually watch more then just clips on youtube.
NO need to spring for cable. If you have internet... MyP2P.eu :: Free Live Sports on your PC is all you need if you want to watch the whole thing LIVE & COMMERCIAL FREE and not just 10 laps out of 25 because you depend on SuckTV.

I think Ben Spies will over shadow Hayden and Edwards in the new season. I believe Ben will run in the top 5 - 10, probably in the top 5 and we will see podium finishes. I am hanging my flag on Ben for the next season - regardless of what team or team support he gets.
I believe Ben Spies has that unique quality that makes champions, he is VERY HUNGRY and deeply passionate for it. As much as I like Hayden, my thoughts will still remain the same and as always I hope he proves me wrong.
I also think you are wrong about Colins relegating him to "test / development" rider status. Remember how he fought for his SBK championship? I think Colin just kinda sat back for a while there, and then with all the BS and politics he had to deal - it made it worse for him. I do however see him with the bit between his teeth again - I don't see World Champion in him, but I think he will give the entire track a damn good run for their money. Your comment about him with Rossi is similar to my comments about Hayden with Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, etc.
