Chris M at VIR

I guys, been awhile since I've logged on.
Went to VIR this afternoon to see Chris riding the FZ1 I sold him.
Man was he looking good. Laying it in the curves with his knee dragging.
Chris said his speedo was displaying 165 down the straight. I think he had about 10 twenty minutes sessions.
I'm sure he will post some pictures and videos when he gets home tomorrow.

Ride Safe
Bob

I am waiting to hear his report. The top speed is kinda irrelevant on that track... the overall lap times are much more telling. Chris has come a long way this past year in being 'smooth' i am really excited to see how much more he has improved after this.

Thanks for heading out and showing him support! The track is a great event to share.

Hey Bob. I don't ever get on here anymore. Been kinda "Forumed Out"

I posted pics and little info with most of them on my Facebook.

Also some video on there.

Mike, I didn't keep up with lap times. Only had my wife a youngest daughter there and my wife was having fun being a Photographer. Maybe if I go again in the future, I will bring a stop watch and have her keep track of lap times. Didn't realize I was gonna be asked about my lap times. I would say though if I were keeping up with them, they would've been way quicker in the pm sessions vrs am sessions as in the pm, I was carrying more speed into the braking zone for T1 and overall, carrying more speed throughout the entire course.

I will say this though, in the am, I was getting passed a good bit cause I was spending more time getting used to how my bike was reacting on the track, learning the track, figuring out my tire pressures and leaning better body posture.

In the pm sessions, I was the one doing a lot of the passing. By the pm sesssions, there were only 2 or 3 guys that were running better then me and they were on more track oriented bikes like an R1 and GSXR.

All in all, good experience, learned a little, gained more confidence in my bike and the tires and most of all, brought the bike home in one piece and had a blast!
