(Note: sorry this was posted as comment also, learning the blog controls on here...)

Go to the dealer. Salesman said they were working on it, I went back there they said they were waiting on salesman to bring battery... regurgitate, repeat....

2 hours later Salesman handing me key telling me not to keep it at same RPM for long time. Good advice, I like/am following advice here 919.org for breakin (click it I won't retype here). Miles 5 on Odo.

First corner rear wheel tries to slide... I guess it was oil or something from service area, did not repeat.

Pulling away she was nice and polite. I felt very comfortable and at ease. Took long rode home. Miles: 68 on odo.

First impressions: mostly good. She is a classsssy lady. Class. That sums her up in one word.

She is the first bike I ever actually thought the engine sounded beautiful. I've never understood before why people talk about the sound of their bikes. I've never heard one before that sounded beautiful... most times when they are bragging about sound I think it sounds whinny and annoying (rockets) or loud and obnoxious (cruisers). The 919 reminds me of the sultry sound that some singers have in their voice that just turns you on inside....

Riding her was a pleasure, only nit picks were to much vibration in handlebars/pegs at 70+ and needing one more gear on top. Forums say get the 17t sprocket. I will try that after I get a little money. Overall she is what I am looking for. She is definitely a trade off between touring and sport somewhere right in the middle.

Power wise she was capable. But she felt more like my V-Strom 650 than my Hyabusa 1300. I missed the silky smooth at 70+ of the Busa but enjoyed the riding position much more... definitely need to get that wind screen though! I was surprised a 919cc felt more like a 650... maybe it is just because I am keeping RPMs low on break in. I guess she's a real lady, you have to really turn her on to get her going...
