A follow up to an interesting possiblity.
It's not Wal-Mart (I won't shop there, let alone work there.) Where I work draws money from the same place the DoD does... While I'm not fond of business casual (I had to go buy clothes just to go to work here) I do like that they use comptime instead of paying for overtime. No fat paychecks, but a long weekend is better for me anyway. If you want me to break it down the way it's written, I work for the AO of the OIT of the USC. Not enough acronyms for you? Try working here.Posted 03-31-2012 at 09:52 PM by beefsalad

An interesting possibility
if paid weekly, yes it would be less than $537. I've crunched the numbers and I could do it...but since my reliable cage was totalled doing this contract !@#$, and my truck showing its age and mileage, I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep doing this for a while until I can pick up something to haul the dirt bike reliably on those trips to the dunes (7 hours one way)Posted 12-15-2011 at 10:51 PM by beefsalad

An interesting possibility
What's your time off like with your current job?
The 'at-home' job won't be less than $537 a paycheck will it?
You gotta crunch the numbers, man...Posted 12-15-2011 at 04:37 AM by Shmoo

Last Real Ride of the Year?
Many years ago a bunch of dads & sons from our neighborhood went there every year for a few years. The Opinicon is a cool place and great food. It was funny, it hit me as soon as I saw the pic.Posted 11-05-2011 at 10:14 AM by rmb

Last Real Ride of the Year?
Why, yes it is! Now I have to ask how you could possibly have picked that out unless you've been there. Have you been up in these parts?
One of the reasons I am surprised is that there are a lot of people here that would not have recognized the lock from that picture because it is one of the more obscure ones that not a lot of people have seen.Posted 11-05-2011 at 09:55 AM by Ottawa919

Nice pics! Is the pic of the lock taken at the Opinicon, Chaffey's locks?Posted 11-05-2011 at 05:28 AM by rmb

Sounds fun! I really miss the dirt. If I had lots of time I would probably race mx again versus street riding. But I don't....
Enjoy the trip! Loved the Trek reference my the way.Posted 10-28-2011 at 07:25 PM by Ottawa919

Fall Walk with the Kids
Great pictures, and blog. My kids are too old and my grandkids to far away. But, Lily, our dog, is always willing and eager each morning.
Thank you!Posted 10-13-2011 at 06:59 AM by motohorseman
