Things are moving closer to me, damn I wish I could afford it!
Almost 3 years ago, I bought my first 919 from a local outfit whose name I can never remember (though the owner, Brian, is awesome.) I've been back several times with more questions than money and he's always obliged. I went out a couple of hours ago to warm up the chain as it was time to clean/lube. I took a route that I travel frequently, but noticed something I had not noticed before. Several motorcycles off on a small side street. Being the junkie that I am, I immediately turn around to investigate. I pull up to see Brian standing there in front of his new shop. It's about 4x as big, and has a garage big enough that he doesn't have to store the bikes in the accessories part of the store. I used to show up sometimes just after he opened, and he'd be like "hang on, I gotta get 3 more bikes out of the way before we can get in." Today is the 3 year anniversary of the store opening and theres a good group of people hanging out eating hot dogs, chips & queso and your typical "come on in, we're happy we're still alive" food. As usual my list of things to accomplish today is more than I have time for so going back to hang out is going to be hard to do. I may forgo the bike wash to do so, though the bike is looking pretty ragged at this point.
Welp, back to pretending like I have the money to afford everything, the time to accomplish it all, and the lack of brains to keep me from attempting it all.
