sometimes its a good thing when things hit close to home...

So I moved into my 'new' house a bit over a week ago. I met the neighbors directly behind me this weekend. They are closer to my parents age than mine, but she being a systems programmer hit a chord with me (fellow geek) and he a truck drive for home depot (if that doesn't hit a chord with your heart as a man, you've revoked your man card.) But alas they were busy trimming up a tree, and I busy with unpacking/repairs/blah/blah/blah. Fast forward to this evening. The past few days have been filled with rain and wind, enough wind to knock down trees/fences etc.. On top of moving and work it just hasn't been a good time to ride. Today was a bit different. I'm tired of working on the house, and was craving a bit of saddle time. Having just woken up, I was huuuungry. F'it I said! The storms were West of me and moving WNW. Lookout asphalt, here I come! About the time I was pulling my helmet on a car passed by and the driver gave me a wave. I figured it was a neighbor being friendly, and hoping it was a hot woman. Turns out, it was the neighbor behind me. Next thing I know, she's flipped a u-turn and is parked on the side of my house. Apparently they ride both street and dirt! I don't remember the specifics of their dirt machines other than 125cc and 150cc. She rides a Blast, he's on a Suzuki 650 of some sort. She asked if I rode dirt and I expressed my interest/lack of funds/lack of someone to ride with. So she said next time they go out, she'll give me a call. WOOHOO! It's been a good day, even though my hour ride wasn't nearly long enough.
