returning to activity
My "normal" , for the past 4 years or so, I've probably been the laziest person anyone knew. While I "worked" it was far from physically strenous most of the time. I could easily get by on 2000cal a day and not gain an ounce (thank you metabolism!) but I digress as that really has little to do with why I'm posting.
I justified me escaping on the motorcycle here in a few minutes, but creating a list of crap to complete before I could relax. 3 hours later the list is complete, and I find myself ready to eat again. I wrote the list while having breakfast. So apparently me moving around and doing work is forcing me to consume a much larger than normal amount of calories. By the time I'm done writing this, I'll have consumed over half of my normal caloric intake for the day, and I feel like I'm just getting started.
I was joking when I bought this place, that I'd be living on rice and beans for the rest of my life. At this rate, I'll have to eat rice and beans because anything else would be too damn expensive!
Not really, but I do miss the convenience of food prepared elsewhere. DIY is nice, especially the kitchen, when it comes to flavor/gratification. However the tradeoff is the amount of prep/cook/cleanup time. That 5 minutes to Wendys and back almost seems like it's paying for itself when it takes me 30+m of work to do basically the same thing at home.
Well, 1200cal down and 30+ miles to go. headed to Lee & Lee to either find out they have matching trim or have them mill me some to match what I have.

Was having a discussion on IRC about my hyperactive metabolism, osteo perosis, and my previous attempts at gaining weight. Dude suggested a fistful of bacon at every meal, or a pair of KFC Double Downs for every meal. Ugh, while I do like my bacon who can eat the same damn thing every meal?
I grew up cooking for 6 people, haven't had 6 people to cook for in 15+ years but still cook for 6. Damn I get tired of eating the same meal all week!Posted 09-29-2010 at 05:22 AM by beefsalad
