I finally got around to doing more stuff to the bike tonight. First order of business was some anal loving. No wait, that wasn't it. Bubble bath for two. Yeah that was it. I rubbed it down gently with a little soap and water. Having never actually washed a bike I was a little paranoid. After rubbing it down for a while, she rejoiced in the way only a woman can.

Completely off topic here. 3rd bike, had this one for a year...1st one washed....

After the bath for two (man did I need one) I pulled the trigger long enough to make sure she still ran. Being a night owl, it was already midnight, so I didn't want the neighbors to think something was up when I let the bike run long enough to get all the evil water and acids out.

Into the garage we go, to her usual place. This time, there's enough room to walk around her. Nice change of pace. So much crap to do on the list, I almost didn't know where to start. I opened up the cabinet containing all the parts I've purchased for the planned changes. First thing that caught my eye was the NGK Iridiums. Easy enough, yet still frustrating as hell (thank you #3!)
I figured while I was at it, I'd rob the PAIRS blockoffs from my 02, and transplant them on the bike that I actually ride (since it runs and all) I had completely forgotten that the PAIRS is as difficult as that damn #3 plug. Alas, I got them both done.

Being ever paranoid about screwing up, another quick firing. Purrs like a kitten. I love it when goes right for a change.

What next? GSX1300 transplant? Nah, thats next season (only joking)

Back to the cabinet. Circuit1 covers staring me in the face. Easy enough! I already had her up on stands, thinking when I pulled the covers it'd help keep the oil in. Looking back, I should have kept her on the ground for the timing cover, may have saved a couple ounces of the precious precious lube. Half of it landed on the floor before I managed to snag my drain pan. Brainfart! Oh well, easy cleanup.

Both sides done, one last firing to make sure she still loves me.

While transplanting the PAIRS blockoffs, I realized "this is a GREAT chance to check the order of the plugs on the 02, since it's sat for over a year with undiagnosed starting issues".... IIRC #1 and #3 were crossed. Maybe that'll fix it when I get around to putting a battery back into it.

She's clean, she's getting purdy, and she purrs like a kitten.

Ride on folks, ride on.
