Grrrrrrrrrrr *@$%!

I'm not sure who made my fender eliminator (can't remember my password to ebay to check) but I've came to the conclusion that it is utter crap. While it is considerably smaller and less ugly, it's been nothing but problems. The LED rig for the license plate stopped working one night due to cold solder joints. The same week, the license plate 'bracket' cracked completely through dropping the plate (held on only by the blinker leads) on to the rear tire. This of course happens half way to the office. Only thing I could figure out was to hook up the cargo net to the bottom holes of the plate bracket and let it pull the plate up. The bad part is, it blocked the tail light in the process. I managed to make it to the office without further incident. I sent one of my techs to wally-world to pick up some JB-Quick for a quick fix. I got'r done, and it looked like it'd work as a more permanent solution. Hell, it held up through a 200mi ride, and a few commutes before and after. Tonight as I was pulling out of the parking lot of the hardware store, it falls off again. !$%^ !$%^ !$%^ !$%^

This time I moved the bolts for the plate to the bottom holes and tied it from the top to the grab rail. Of course the first time I tied it the plate started bouncing off the tire as soon as I got on. Quickly pulled over and retied it. It flapped in the wind, but managed to hang on long enough to make it back home. I'm thinking I'll hit up a machine shop for a scrap piece of aluminum and just make my own.

F'it man, F'it!
