I have caught the fever... There is no prescription.

I remember my first week on Wristtwisters I was PM'ing back and forth with RobThalarson talking about the bike. He said it wouldnt be long before I started mods and I replied "no way, i love my bike just how it is" Well... one year later his prophecy has proved true. I can't stop.

It started slowly... "I need a Givi windscreen for my trip"..."well everyone does the bafflectomy and its pretty cheap, why not?"..."Nuts, now my bike is running fuel rich, I guess I better buy a K&N" Then it got a little bit more serious when I started cutting plastic and I integrated the turn signals for $10. By then I realized that all the gray had to go, and I started wet sanding and painting, Grab bar, side covers, radiator covers.

Remember when Barton was going to buy a Buell? Well thats when ModFever started to really catch a hold, I realized I HAD to have some things off his bike when he sold it. Then that deal fell through and I took it as a sign from God that I wasnt supposed to be a Modder. Then the CBR1000 came along and he was ready to sell the stuff again!!! Then they couldnt make a deal...

Well now my parts are en route and (hopefully) by tomorrow night the list of Mods will go like this:

Givi A755a (not on bike unless its raining or cold)
Bafflectomy
K&N Filter
Painted Grab Bar, side cover and radiator covers
Integrated turn signals
Suburban Machinery Handlebars
Tribo Passenger Seat Cover
TK919 Ram Air
PCIII
Racetech Springs

Still on my to do list:
New front blinkers
Aftermarket Exhaust (900rr full system?)
clip on mirrors
Rearsets
powdercoating
new wheels

Any other suggestions are welcome!

Pictures to come tomorrow or saturday!

I dig the 17t. I've never been one to loft the front end, so this gives me better mileage and I can still stomp Alinosa (He's got a few pounds on me, so I've always had a better takeoff)

    How about the 599 headlight?

I would like to try sprockets but I do so many miles that the 15tooth isnt practical, and I do so many wheelies that the 17t isnt going to be as much fun.

I am scared of messing with the headlight.

You can still clutch up a wheelie with the 17t, shouldn't be a problem at all.

Don't be scared of the headlight. It's not as bad as it looks, though it is a bitch to cram the wires into the 599 bucket. I'm considering doing away with the connectors to give me a bit more room if/when I ever get around to putting the 599 bucket on my running 9er.

I know man its like crack. The only thng slowin me down is cash. I only have 4 more things I can think of.

stainless lines, dual headlight, vfr swing arm, then... turbo. I've already done alot and love the bike how it is but I like tinkering with stuff and I don't get the rotten tooth skinny side effects of crack! PERFECT!
